Glentoran FC is saddened by the passing of former player George Allen Thompson at the age of 95. A key part of our 1950-51 clean sweep squad.
After his playing days, he remained dedicated to Glentoran in a scouting role, shaping future generations.
Our heartfelt condolences go to George’s family and friends. A true Glentoran great, forever remembered.

Glentoran can confirm that Academy graduate Theo McToal has joined Ballyclare Comrades on loan for the rest of the 2024/25 season.
The 18-year-old full-back, who made his first-team debut last season, will gain valuable senior experience in the NIFL Championship.
