According to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, the Yankees are planning on moving Aaron Judge back to right field for the 2025 season now that right field is open with Juan Soto gone and playing with the Mets.
MLB.com insider Mark Feinsand thinks Juan Soto and his team will give New York a final chance before making his decision:
I think the Yankees believe they will have a final crack to match or beat whatever the best offer they have is, so why throw out your final number now? Soto and [agent] Scott Boras aren’t signing without taking that final deal back to the Yankees… I won’t count the Yankees out of this race until I see Soto put on another jersey at a press conference next week in Dallas.
The Yankees have plenty of new free agent options after Friday night's non-tender frenzy. They should absolutely sign a few of these players. Link:Sign-in
Unreal! Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton belted back-to-back homers of Emmanuel Clase late to take the lead over the Guardians!! Let's go Yankees! Link:Sign-in

Game 2: Carlos Rodon
Game 3: Luis Gil or Clarke Schmidt
Yankees pitching coach Matt Blake indicated that the Game 3 starter will not be named until after Game 1.
