For the newest Weekend Shirt, Patti Lapel honors a lot of our favorite things at one time.
It's a Silver Bullet Band bonanza, paying tribute to Bob Seger's classic jam, Night Moves and one of our favorite films of the '70s.
As the years have passed, and the song has been celebrated, Seger has revealed the catalyst for the writing Night Moves was seeing George Lucas's 1973 movie, American Graffiti and its depiction of 1960s car culture.
It was inspired by the movie American Graffiti, Seger explained. It was all about cars and peg pants and rolled-up T-shirts with a cigarette pack up here and stiletto pointed shoes. That's how I grew up, that was my high-school years. It was the easiest song in the world to write... - and the rest was history.
So Matthew Durkin has tackled the combo for us and thrown in the Americana of Mel's Drive-In, a landmark location for the movie. The shirt is printed on a Comfort Colors blank and only AVAILABLE through Tuesday, December 12th at 9pm PT - then Autumn is closin' in.
