Bag Of Rice Project #563 the Samuel Family, thanks to Julye Cox for donating this 110 lb. bag of rice. We were given the Samuel family’s contact information by an acquaintance. When we first encountered the family, they were gathered in front of their house. The Samuel family resides in Mbiaobong Itam Village in the southern Nigerian state of Akwa Ibom. The family was shocked when we walked in and gave us a warm welcome. The family admitted that they were shocked to see us because they were not expecting any visitors. We told them our reason for visiting, and the family was shocked considering the hardship they are going through in the country and how government policies are not favoring them, considering the increase in PMS, which had led to an increase in the price of goods in the country. The family is blessed with 2 kids. The family lives in a one-room apartment. The Samuel family reserves a room for cooking. The family has a gas and a stove, they said they were using gas to cook before, but as the price of filling a gas now skyrocketed, they had to switch to using a stove, which is cheaper for them. Mrs. Samuel sells in the market to fend for the family and take care of the children. The sack of rice will go a long way towards feeding the family’s undernourished children; thus the Samuel family was thrilled and ecstatic. They thanked the donor and prayed that God would keep blessing them and provide them with opportunities. As we departed, Mrs Samuel waved and continued to pray. The family’s mood changed to one of happiness. READ THE FULL STORY HERE ---> Sign-in If you would like to help feed the beautiful people in Nigeria please follow the link to learn more.
